TITLE: Assistant Cheerleading Coach (Middle School) QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of volleyball
• Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
REPORTS TO: Head Cheer Coach, Athletic Director, and Building Principal JOB GOAL: To assist the Head Cheerleading Coach in providing leadership, supervision, and organization of the volleyball program while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development of student-athletes. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in planning and leading practices and games under the direction of the Head Coach
• Support the academic and personal growth of student-athletes
• Help develop player skills, conditioning, and sportsmanship
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel
• Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IESA rules and guidelines
• Communicate with students, parents, and school personnel as needed
• Model and uphold high standards of conduct on and off the court
• Assist with equipment management and care
• Promote a positive team environment and school spirit
• Attend all scheduled games, practices, and team functions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or administration
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Seasonal position; stipend established by the Board of Education. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with district policy and procedures.
