About this role
Director, Mt. Ararat Stage Company The director of the Mt. Ararat Stage Company serves as the leader of MSAD #75's production team for dramatic arts and teacher. The club operates throughout the year and works with students on a regular basis to select and direct theatrical productions, as well as to grow students' skills and interests as stage performers of all kinds. Specific responsibilities include:
• Selecting and leading theatrical productions based upon the interest and skills of students in the program, usually including at least two productions during the school year,
• Developing and collaborating with a team of adults to support the various aspects of each production, including stage management, lighting and sound, set design and production, costumes and props, music, and more,
• Building and maintaining a rehearsal schedule that will support and each production and the development of students as artists,
• Serving as the face of dramatic arts in the school and community, supporting the recruitment of additional students as members of the company.
Anticipated meetings: after school through the school year, with more frequent/longer rehearsals as each show approaches. Targeted student members: 50+
