Title Code: Temp: Textbook Assistant
This position is posted to create a pool of candidates for school administrators incase there is a need for candidates. JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of tasks related to receiving, distributing and inventorying textbooks purchased by the Curriculum Aligned Materials Office.
Additional Work Days/Hours Based on the assignment, the following additional work days and/or hours may be required as needed:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Open and unpack shipments of textbooks.
• Review purchase orders, packing slips, and shipments to determine that the order is correct and complete.
• Document order receipts and inform the campus' textbook manager regarding the status of each purchase order.
• If necessary, place barcodes on each student textbook with barcodes provided.
• Organize books and/or move them to various classrooms, bookrooms, or departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
• Ability to read purchase orders and determine if the correct books and quantities are received.
• Able to perform clerical tasks related to managing receipt of textbooks and checking that all orders are complete.
• Ability to organize materials for distribution.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.
