Ruthven/Ayrshire Community School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about creating a positive learning environment and committed to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. Position Details:
• Full-time Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grade level to be determined)
• Location: Ruthven/Ayrshire Elementary School, ?Ruthven, Iowa
• Start Date: August 2026
Qualifications:
• Valid Iowa teaching license with Elementary Education endorsement (K-6)
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional strategies
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to collaboration with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons
• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven practices
• Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with standards-based grading and assessment
• Knowledge of PBIS or similar behavior frameworks
• Integration of technology into instruction
