About this role
Anticipated Full-Time Special Education TeacherRuthven-Ayrshire Community School District is seeking applicants for an anticipated full-time Special Education Teacher position for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will:
• Hold or be eligible for appropriate Iowa teaching licensure with Special Education endorsement
• Demonstrate strong instructional and classroom management skills
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, parents, and administration
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities include:
• Providing specialized instruction and interventions for students receiving special education services
• Supporting student achievement in academic, social, and behavioral areas
• Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal special education requirements
