About this role

North Providence Public Schools is now accepting applications for day-to-day Substitute Teachers. Preference will be given to applicants who are certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Substitute Teacher Pay Schedule

1. Education: - A current certification issued by the Rhode Island Department of Education; or - A bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university; or - An associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or - A minimum of two (2) years college completion on track to a four (4) year degree. 2. Three recent professional letters of reference 3. Bilingual - Spanish/English (preferred) If offered a position with North Providence Public Schools, you are required to obtain a national criminal background check with fingerprinting obtained at the State Attorney General's Office. If your background check is returned and acceptable for employment, you will be asked to return to complete onboarding paperwork to include the "Employment Eligibility Verification, USCIS I-9" as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Here you will attest to your employment authorization and must also provide acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization.
