School Food and Nutrition Services (SFNS) Technician Part-time Positions (multiple locations) 2026-2027 Position Summary: Responsible for preparing food items. Operates kitchen equipment and follows safety and sanitation procedures to serve food. Qualifications:
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
• Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience (Prefer more than 2 years)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Essential Job Functions include the following:
• Prepares hot food including set-up, cooking and/or serving
• Assembles and serves cold food in correct portions
• Reads and follows recipes
• Operates kitchen equipment
• Checks and assures the correct temperature of food, refrigerator and freezer
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen facilities, equipment and dishes
• Stocks and dates food and supplies
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down food service lines
• Serves food to students and staff
• Stores and labels leftover food
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
• Regularly required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Other duties may be assigned
