Early Childhood Paraprofessional 2026-2027 School Year Location will be dependent on student needs Position Summary: Responsible for working with students ages 3-5 who are enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education Program. Qualifications:
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires 60 college-level credits, preference for an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience.
• Experience working with children ages 3-5 preferred, but not required.
Essential Job Functions include the following:
• Under the direction of the Classroom Teacher, assist with planning development and implantation of instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic activities.
• Assists teachers with meeting IEP goals and with other planning, as needed and directed.
• Constantly monitors and supervises children.
• Updates and maintains records.
• Assists students with personal hygiene, toileting, diapering, clothing, etc.
• Monitors and/or assists students with adaptive devices.
• Assists students with developmentally appropriate skills.
• Maintain a physical classroom environment that is conducive to the learning process.
• Assists students with arrival and departure routines.
• Ensures safety and security of students.
• Performs clerical duties including copying and lesson prep work.
• Attends meetings when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
