About this role
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be fingerprinted and receive background clearance through the State Education Department
• Must be able to communicate positively with outside organizations, parents, students and faculty.
• Must perform duties as assigned by the Principal or Head Custodian.
• Must undertake any training relevant to your role.
• Must be a team player.
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to prioritize work and work with minimum supervision.

• Proven work experience as a cleaner
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to respect and value the different experiences, ideas and backgrounds others can bring to work and teams.
Cleaner position list of responsibilities
• Clean bathroom basins and sinks
• Refill toilet and paper towel dispensers
• Replenish liquid soap in soap dispensers.
• Wipe and wash down bathroom tiles using appropriate cleaners and disinfectants.
• Clean & polish mirrors and wipe and residual paintwork
• Empty trash bins and place them in recycle receptacles.
• Scrub and mop floors using cleaner.
2.Vacuum rugs & carpets and remove stains using brushes and cleaners.
• Dust and mop hard flooring using appropriate cleaning devices (brooms, mop, etc)
• Cleans and dust furniture such as desks, chairs, etc
• Wipe down grubby hand marks and sanitize floors.
• Empty trash bins and clean/wash bins on a regular basis
• Remove marks from doors and windows.
• Clean telephones and extension phones
