About this role
DUTIES The Computer Aide provides technical and instructional support to students and staff and assists with the day-to-day operation of district technology resources. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Provide support to students and staff using Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, and other district-approved software and applications.
• Assist users with password resets and account access.
• Troubleshoot computer and technology-related issues and submit support tickets or communicate with the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department as appropriate.
• Provide technical and software support to teachers during classroom instruction.
• Monitor the operation of copiers, printers, audiovisual equipment, and other technology-related equipment and request repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of district technology inventory and equipment.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction to students on the use of computers, software, and other technology resources as needed.
• Assist with the ordering, organization, and maintenance of supplies and materials related to the Library Media Center (LMC) and ITS.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in computer operations or a related technology field.
• Civil Service eligibility and residency requirements as applicable.
• Successful completion of required state and federal fingerprint-supported criminal history background checks.
• Demonstrated experience providing technology and computer support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively support students and staff.
