About this role
The Bensalem Township School District is seeking qualified applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Science Teacher position for the 2026–2027 school year. This assignment will be split between Robert K. Shafer Middle School and Cecelia Snyder Middle School. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based science instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and support students in achieving academic success while collaborating with colleagues, families, and school administrators. Qualifications:
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Middle Level Science.
• Demonstrated knowledge of middle school Science curriculum and content.
• Strong classroom and student behavior management skills.
• Effective instructional planning, organization, and assessment practices.
• Ability to develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Proficiency in utilizing instructional materials, educational technology, and classroom equipment to enhance student learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, staff, parents, community members, and educational agencies.
• Ability to perform routine responsibilities cooperatively while adapting to interruptions, changing priorities, and evolving instructional needs.
