Mid-Prairie Middle School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable Head Cross Country Coach to lead our boys' and girls's. We pride ourselves on building a culture of discipline, teamwork, and athletic excellence. Responsibilities
• Develop and manage aspects of the middle school cross country program, including summer conditioning and the regular fall season. • Design and implement daily practice plans, conditioning programs, and race-day strategies tailored to varying skill levels. • Coordinate with the Activities Director regarding meet entries, transportation, and home invitational logistics. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that promotes both athletic and academic success. • Ensure all practices and meets adhere to IHSAA (Iowa High School Athletic Association) and IGHSAU rules and regulations. Qualifications
• Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement (mandatory). • Previous cross country/track coaching or competitive running experience preferred. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
