About this role
Job Description: The Cook's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: -Maintain safe and sanitary food practices. -Proper food labeling and rotation practices. -Follow HACCP Guidelines. -Reheating and holding temperatures and record keeping. -Maintain a safe working environment. -Assist Lead Cook by placing daily and weekly orders for individual school -Maintain daily Production Records. -Assist the Lead cook in any way, to make sure meals are prepared and served as intended. -Coordinate and produce lunches for the school at a high quality -Use of batch cooking methods -Coordinate with school nurse with meals for allergy related issues -Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. -Responsible for records for meals served. -Running meal cards properly. (milk or meal) -Making sure meals qualify for a reimbursable meal. Requirements:
• Able to stand for long periods of
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds off the
• Must be able to lift 15 over head.
• Serve Safe Certified (certification may be obtained after hire)
• AllergenTraining is required. (certification may be obtained after hire)
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• P.R training (certification may be obtained after hire)
• Able to work in a high energy environment. Handle problems as they arise and adjust to the situation accordingly.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am-2: 30 pm (32.5 hrs/week) (Subject to change as needs change)
