Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training, exercise science, or a related field (required).

• Missouri Athletic Trainer License (State of Missouri Division of Professional Registration)

• Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

• CPR/AED/BLS certification

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management

REPORTS TO: Director of Activities and Athletics & Coordinator of Health Services Part-time/PRN position: Maximum of 30 days per school year Hours: This PRN position typically works up to 8 hours per day, with schedules varying based on school athletic activities. Standard coverage generally begins around 2:00 p.m. and concludes around 10:00 p.m., though shorter shifts may occur depending on event needs and the athletic schedule. Position Summary: The PRN Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to student-athletes under the supervision of the Coordinator of Health Services and serves as a fill-in provider during absences of the district's full-time Athletic Trainer. The ideal candidate is committed to student safety, wellness, and high-quality care while contributing to a positive, collaborative athletic environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate care, prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries during practices, contests, and conditioning sessions.

• Refer students to appropriate physicians or medical facilities when additional evaluation or treatment is needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of injuries, treatment, and medical referrals using the district's electronic systems.

• Support data collection and analysis to enhance student safety and athletic program outcomes.

• Coordinate pre-participation physical examinations and maintain compliance with MSHSAA and district eligibility requirements.

• Educate student-athletes, families, coaches, and staff on injury prevention and sports medicine practices.

• Assist in the development and support of a student Athletic Training program.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the district's athletics and activities.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for athletic events.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Physical ability to assist with lifting, moving, and supporting athletes during treatment.

Compensation: $42 per hour
