Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Valid Texas teaching certificate in area of assignment with endorsement for subject and level assigned. Candidates not yet certified may be considered for a certification waiver under the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan based on training and work experience. *Note: For the current recruitment cycle, DOI waivers are approved for the 2026-2027 school year only. Continued employment beyond this period will require issuance of a vailed Texas Intern Certificate or full completion of an approved educator preparation program (EPP).
Primary Purpose: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
