About this role

Captain Isaac Paine Elementary School is seeking highly qualified substitute teachers. ANTICIPATED DUTIES FOR THE POSITION 1. Perform the functions of the position in accordance with the RI Professional Teaching Standards 2. Perform the functions of the position in accordance with the RI Professional Code of Conduct 3. Perform the functions of the position in accordance with all laws, regulations, and school district policies and practices 4. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree • Knowledge of curricular theory and contemporary issues in education preferred • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure effective curriculum, instruction and assessment • Professional knowledge and skills as outlined in the RI Professional Teaching Standards approved by the RI Board of Regents in 2007 • Eligible to receive a Substitute Teacher Permit from the District based on the requirements of the RI Department of Education • And / or any combination of education, experience, and knowledge and skills deemed substantially equivalent by the school committee or designee to those listed above. Qualifications will be determined and the position will be filled through an application and interview process. The district reserves the right to withdraw a posting, not fill a position, or re-advertise a position in order to obtain the most qualified candidate A State and Federal BCI check, with no disqualifying information, is required for all new employees in the Foster School District. No experience required Bachelor degree preferred
