About this role

This is a 40-hour-per-week, year-round position for the Student Services Department focused on supporting the district’s FAPE transition for 3- and 4-year-olds. This position is benefits-eligible. The position will be located at the district's central office for the coming school year. The position requires a strong understanding of special education and regulatory timelines. Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency using multiple platforms, including Microsoft Office and Google, are required. Knowledge of special education software such as Acuity is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; judgment and initiative; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; the aptitude to work independently and good customer service skills are required. The following is a listing of some of the anticipated duties of this position. This is not an inclusive listing: Point of contact for new referrals from Pre-K teachers, outside preschools, physicians, parent/community referrals * Uploads and maintains all paperwork in Acuity * Uploads and maintains information in Infinite Campus * Schedule IEP meetings and send out Advance Written Notices * Following the IEP meetings sends out Written Notices and IEPs once approved * Set up IEP meetings for referrals, eligibility, program reviews, and sessions with providers * Keep track of evaluation timelines and assignments for each provider * Assist with screening prep, administration, and organization of that data. * Assemble materials, prepare reports, and submit to the appropriate individuals promptly. This includes district, state, and potential federal reporting * Telephone and email contact with staff, parents, and community * Manage technology-based master calendar for scheduling * Other duties as assigned by the Student Services administrative team.
