About this role
This is a 40 hour/week, school year position (with a few additional days prior to start of school year and at the end of the school year) for the student services department. This position is benefits-eligible. The position is split between Raymond Elementary School and Manchester School. For the 26-27 school year, it will also include Jordan Small Middle School. The position requires a strong understanding of special education and 504 paperwork and regulatory timelines. Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency using multiple platforms including Microsoft Office and Google are required. Knowledge of special education and 504 software such as Adori and Acuity is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; judgment and initiative; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; the aptitude to work independently and good customer service skills are required. The following is a listing of some of the anticipated duties of this position. This is not an inclusive listing: 1. Daily organization of the operation of the special education office, including all special education and 504 files and records 2. Coordination of special education paperwork with case managers and site coordinators. 3. Facilitate special administrative projects and presentation coordination 4. Assemble materials, prepare reports, and submit to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner 5. Compose and prepare special education and 504 correspondence 6.Telephone and email contact with parents, community 7. Manage technology based master calendar for scheduling 8. Other duties as assigned by the Student Services administrative team.
1.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; but Associate’s degree from an accredited institution will be considered with appropriate experience. 2.Must meet Maine Criminal History Records Check Approval requirements at time of hire.
