We are a busy, forward-thinking practice caring for approximately 12,000 patients with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. We're looking for a nurse who is confident managing long-term conditions, delivering immunisations and cervical cytology, and providing high-quality patient care within general practice.

About us
The practice was established before the 1970s and based just down the road at 28 Uppingham Road Leicester before moving to this purpose built centre in 1973.
We share this building with other community care workers, district nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists.
We cover an area to the East of the City Centre with a practice population of around 12,000 people.
As a practice we are constantly striving to provide a better and more reliable service to our patients.
We offer a wide range of medical services including health promotion and screening with a well trained clinical and administration team to help us provide a high standard of care.
Our aim is to provide high quality, patient centred care delivered within the resources we have available.

Job responsibilities: Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the GPs Cytology Wound care Removal of Sutures Travel Clinic ECGs Venepuncture Health promotion Ear syringing Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records A duty to advise of potential problems or errors within a range of assigned tasks Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required. On occasion there may be a requirement to undertake home visits Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
