About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Experience: No experience (will train). Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
