We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative in our Louisville, CO location to join the North America Sales & Marketing team at Vaisala. This is a full-time position, eligible for hybrid work. You will be joining a highly motivated team of professionals, responsible for building long-term, profitable business partnerships in the North America weather space. Why join us? In this position you will support both pre- and post-sales activities with account managers, as well as operating as an independent sales function to help drive business with established customers. As such, you will be an equal and valued business contributor across the Sales & Marketing team for the North America Weather Enterprise. You will report to the North America Director of Sales. This will include, but is not limited to, participating in tender preparations, and preparing legal documentation, such as Past Performance and Certs & Reps.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Work in close cooperation with the Sales Coordination team to ensure accurate Customer Master Data information in the Vaisala ERP system.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Where applicable, manage communications with distributors, agents, customers, value-added-resellers, and/or integrators in all sales related issues & inquiries, and ensure customer feedback is routed through the proper channel(s).</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Some travel may be required in support of business sustainment and development.</li> </ul> As the successful candidate you will be a self-starting team player, and a curious and creative problem solver. What will you bring? <ul> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in engineering, meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">At least 2 years of technical sales experience in the weather enterprise or industrial instrumentation sectors, ideally in the B2G space.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Self-motivated, flexible, and well-organized team player with a positive attitude towards customer service.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Well-versed proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and CRM tools (Salesforce).</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Strong attention to detail, with a demonstrated follow-through and a Can-Do approach. Excellent time management, and multi-tasking abilities.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Willingness and ability to build technical competence by learning the Vaisala offering.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Exemplary business writing skills (such as RFP/RFQ experience) a must.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Available to travel if required, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.</li> <li style="line-height:107%;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must. Knowledge of other languages of benefit where applicable.</li> </ul> ANTICIPATED TOTAL COMPENSATION RANGE: $90,000 - $100,000 range comprised of annual base salary and the sales bonus plan. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
