*Solid Waste Disposal Technician*

*About the Role:*
CORE is seeking an experienced Waste Management Technician to support environmental sampling, reporting, and compliance activities across active project sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on field experience in waste and soil sampling, regulatory compliance monitoring, and technical documentation.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Collect and prepare samples of soil, hazardous waste, and recoverable waste materials for laboratory testing * Perform soil and water sampling to monitor and verify ongoing environmental compliance at project sites * Conduct field inspections of waste lime land-spreading operations to ensure adherence to environmental permits and regulatory standards * Collect and record field data, and prepare detailed technical and inspection reports * Assist senior team-members with evaluating sampling results against applicable regulatory thresholds for appropriate disposal
*Required Experience and Skills:*
* Demonstrated experience in environmental sampling techniques (soil, water, waste) * Working knowledge of provincial and federal waste regulations * Familiarity with TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) regulations * 2?3 years of relevant field experience * HAZWOPER 40-hr certification will be considered an asset * Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and time management skills * Excellent analytical skills * High attention to detail
*Education:*
* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 2 to 3 years (environmental technology, applied science, or related field) * Courses in Waste Management will be considered an asset
*Additional Requirements:*
* Willing to travel to project sites as required * Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving abstract * Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
