About this role
Tony?s Meats Ltd. is looking to hire permanent full-time Sanitation employee. Working 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday. Tony's Meats Ltd. is a CFIA and SQF certified production facility which produces fresh and ready to eat deli meat products. Tony?s Meats Ltd. is the largest Donair Meat production facility in the Maritimes, producing the Mr. Donair Brand. We presently have afternoon Sanitation openings in our Ready to Eat department. Successful applicants will need to have the following qualifications:
* Highly motivated * Good dexterity * Attention to detail * Physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs. * Comfortable to work with changing work activities and schedules * Be able to work in a refrigerated and fast pace environment. * Previous food handling or sanitation experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: *Follow all Health and Safety requirements and rules*
* Learn and follow all Sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (eg. hand washing, glove changes, product storage) * Learn to disassemble equipment for sanitation * Learn all the required sanitation activities for the area * Perform and ensure that all sanitation tasks are completed according to the company?s written program * Ensure all required safety precautions are taken to protect employees from injury (lock out procedures followed) and equipment from damage (electronics protected etc.) * Ensure that chemicals are handled appropriately according to WHMIS standards * Identify, and communicate deviations to supervisor * Ensure all required documents are accurate and complete and handed in, in a timely manner.
