Keywest Asphalt group is a leading highway and municipal paving and civil contracting company serving British Columbia for over 30 years. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and motivated *Equipment Manager* to oversee our fleet and heavy equipment operations.

If you have strong leadership skills, experience managing heavy equipment, and enjoy working in a fast-paced construction environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee the company's fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. * Coordinate equipment scheduling with project managers, dispatch, and operations. * Plan and monitor preventative maintenance programs. * Ensure equipment inspections, repairs, and servicing are completed on schedule. * Coordinate with mechanics and external repair vendors. * Monitor equipment utilization and downtime to maximize productivity. * Maintain maintenance records, service history, inspections, and compliance documentation. * Assist with equipment purchases, rentals, and disposals. * Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements. * Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and operating expenses. * Support field crews by ensuring equipment availability for projects.

Qualifications

* Minimum 3?5 years of experience managing heavy equipment or fleet operations. * Experience in asphalt paving, civil construction, or a related industry is considered a strong asset. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and commercial trucks. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Proficient with Microsoft Office and fleet maintenance software. * Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 1 is an asset).
