About this role
Under the direction of the Front of House Management Team, Server Assistants provide support to Servers by inspecting all tables for the proper mise en place, cleanliness and completeness. They practice a high level of floor awareness and have exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items. Server Assistants help with food running as well as monitor food quality to ensure O&B presentation standards.The day to day:Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessaryAssist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning off)Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seatingPractice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as requiredFollow all food safety standards and systemsEmpty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recyclingCommunicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experiencePart time position, Sunday availability a mustOther duties as assigned or requiredQualificationsValid Smart Serve Certification, required.6 months- 1 year previous experience in a fast paced restaurant environmentWeekend availability/ evening/ HolidayHigh attention to detailAbility to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to take direction and prioritizeStrong oral communication skillsHigh level of product knowledgeAbility to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentumThis is a Part time positionLegally eligible to work in CanadaAdditional InformationThis is a current vacancy.Wage: $17.60 + shared gratuitiesAI DisclosureTo ensure a fair and efficient recruitment process, some aspects of candidate screening may be conducted using AI software.
