Cleanliness is maintained throughout service and they gladly honour guest special requests.The day to day:Perform delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef and/or General ManagerDay to day food preparation of the event space according to O&B standardsFollow recipes, portion controls and presentation specification as set by the restaurantMaintain a prep list of station dutiesFollow the FIFO method to maximize freshnessAssist in food inventory and controlAssist in properly receiving and storing delivered itemsClean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelinesStrictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelinesOther duties or responsibilities as assigned or requiredQualifications1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant or event/ catering environmentCulinary diploma/degree is an asset.Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.Able to spend 100% of the time standingAvailable weekends, evenings, and holidaysThis position requires a full availability schedule Legally eligible to work in CanadaAdditional InformationThis is a current vacancy.Wage: $15 - $18 + shared gratuitiesAI DisclosureTo ensure a fair and efficient recruitment process, some aspects of candidate screening may be conducted using AI software.
