As part of OUP’s mission‑driven environment, you will contribute to creating educational content that is accurate, inclusive, pedagogically sound, and aligned with curriculum standards.<br>You will join a collaborative team working with authors, designers, illustrators, production experts, and digital teams—making the role both creatively stimulating and intellectually enriching.<br>With increasing emphasis on integrating contemporary themes such as <strong>digital literacy, environmental awareness, and financial literacy</strong>, the role presents opportunities to work on innovative projects across print and digital platforms.</p> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Opportunity – </strong></h2> <h3><strong>Day‑to‑day responsibilities</strong></h3> <p>You will be responsible for end‑to‑end editorial development of English textbooks and learning resources, including:</p> <ul> <li>Editing and proofreading manuscripts for grammar, clarity, consistency, and age‑appropriate language.</li> <li>Adapting and refining content to align with curriculum standards.</li> <li>Ensuring accuracy and pedagogical soundness of rubrics, answer keys, and teacher support materials.</li> <li>Mapping textbook content to prescribed learning outcomes and competencies.</li> <li>Integrating contemporary thematic elements into lessons.</li> <li>Collaborating with authors, illustrators, designers, production, and rights/permissions teams.</li> <li>Coordinating development of textbooks, workbooks, and digital resources to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Maintaining version integrity through editorial logs and workflow systems.</li> <li>Reviewing layouts and proofs for design accuracy, readability, and consistency.</li> <li>Ensuring inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility across all content.</li> </ul> <h3> </h3> <h3><strong>Impact of the role</strong></h3> <p>Your work directly influences the quality of OUP’s English learning products, supporting teachers and students with accurate, inclusive, and engaging resources.
