At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. <div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; performs research on products and manufacturing processes and shares the same with senior engineers.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>Key Activities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Apply advanced technical knowledge to the design, construction, and sourcing of mold tooling to meet defined quality, cost, and production requirements.</li> <li>Contribute to the evaluation, introduction, and implementation of new molding technologies within the manufacturing footprint.</li> <li>Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex molding-related topics including processing, tooling, materials, quality, and capacity challenges, both internally and with external partners.</li> <li>Support and coordinate enterprise-wide molding excellence initiatives and continuous improvement activities, recommending and implementing best practices across the organization.</li> <li>Utilize data-driven problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, or similar approaches to identify root causes of molding issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve process capability.</li> <li>Support the deployment of operational excellence and standardized manufacturing foundations within the molding environment.</li> <li>Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to source molded components and support the external manufacturing and supplier base as required.</li> <li>Partner closely with Product Development Engineering to ensure designs meet cost targets and follow design-for-manufacturability principles.</li> <li>Provide molding expertise to assigned new product development projects, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met according to project timelines, including mold qualification and transfer to production.</li> <li>Ensure proper documentation of molding processes, tooling, and standards within applicable internal systems.</li> <li>Participate in and, when appropriate, lead FMEA reviews related to molding processes and tooling.</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What your background should look like</b></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Molding Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated specialized experience in molding processes. An advanced degree is a plus.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working within a molding-focused engineering or manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Advanced level of English (written and verbal).</li> <li>Strong technical expertise in mold processing and tooling design for thermoplastics, thermosets, and silicones. Experience with engineered resins is desirable.</li> <li>Proficiency in the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and mold flow simulation software to support tooling and design reviews.</li> <li>Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments is preferred.</li> <li>Exposure to molding applications for highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, defense) is a plus.</li> <li>Certification or training in Lean or Design for Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred but not required.</li> <li>Proficiency in standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
