At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. <div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Overview</b></H2> </div><div><p>Performs technical tasks including research, development and the improvement of manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, ensure safety and minimize the excessive use of resources.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Gathering data used to quantify production efficiency, safety measure effectiveness and resource usage.</li> <li>Researching methods for improving a product&apos;s quality and ensuring quality control in products.</li> <li>Evaluating manufacturing equipment to identify upgrades that will potentially increase the efficiency or quality of manufacturing processes.</li> <li>Identifying and documents potential inefficiencies and obsolete processes, technology and equipment.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What your background should look like</b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing equipment integration for cable assembly and harness manufacturing processes.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of <strong>PLC-based control systems</strong>, HMI development, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and vision systems.</li> <li>Support the definition, installation, and validation of automation equipment required for new product launches.</li> <li>Participate in equipment commissioning, startup, debugging, and functional validation activities.</li> <li>Assist in the development and maintenance of electrical schematics, control documentation, software backups, and automation standards.</li> <li>Support I/O validation, communication testing, machine safety verification, and troubleshooting activities.</li> <li>Basic understanding of machine safety requirements, interlocks, and risk mitigation practices.</li> <li>Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, EHS, and suppliers to ensure successful equipment implementation.</li> <li>Support equipment capitalization, technical documentation, purchase requisitions (PRs), and purchase orders (POs) related to automation systems.</li> <li>Assist in identifying automation improvements that enhance productivity, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.</li> <li>Capture and share lessons learned and maintain project documentation within TE project management systems.</li> <li>Support development and execution of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and process validation activities.</li> <li>Provide technical support during pilot builds, qualification runs, and SOP readiness activities.</li> <li>Troubleshoot control system issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.</li> <li>1–3 years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, manufacturing engineering, machine integration, or automated production environments.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of PLC programming, HMI systems, industrial networks, sensors, actuators, servo drives, and machine control systems.</li> <li>Experience supporting equipment commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, validation, or continuous improvement activities is preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, or similar networks.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and automation documentation.</li> <li>Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, automated assembly equipment, and machine safety principles.</li> <li>Experience working in a cross-functional environment supporting NPI (New Product Introduction), production, quality, and operations teams is preferred.</li> <li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li> <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
