The role will entail the investigation of a broad spectrum of incidents relating to allegations and suspicions of fraud, unlawful conduct, financial crime and other breaches of the Code of Ethical Conduct in accordance with professional standards.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What will make you successful in this role?</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <ul> <li>Perform investigations through proper planning, fact-finding by the gathering of information and evidence, as well as the analysis and the identification/linking thereof to transgressions.</li> <li>Investigation of the full spectrum of incidents in respect of all the businesses serviced by SLS Forensic Services.</li> <li>Compile reports and affidavits concerning irregularities, regulatory transgressions, including criminal conduct and make recommendations for further actions.</li> <li>Identification of patterns or tendencies and then make recommendations with reference to implementation of preventative measures and areas of risk.</li> <li>Testify at internal, regulatory and criminal proceedings.</li> <li>Provide input and assistance to Prosecuting and Regulatory authorities.</li> </ul> <p> </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualification and Experience</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">A relevant tertiary qualification preferably a Bachelor’s Degree.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Certifications: FP(SA) from Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICFP) and/or CFE from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is recommended. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">3-5 years fraud investigation experience or complaints assessment experience in the financial services industry, with insurance and claims exposure being beneficial.</span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Knowledge and Skills</b></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Specific knowledge of Sanlam systems in the Retail Affluent environment is recommended.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and legal principles applicable to the financial industry (FAIS, LTIA, FICA, PRECCA, POPIA, Criminal and Civil Procedure Act etc.) is preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Thorough knowledge of investigative methodology and techniques.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Investigation/ Complaints handling experience in the area of financial crime/ complaints related to financial crime.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong Stakeholder engagement abilities.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Quality, compliance and accreditation.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Networking -
