Main duties of the job As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will aid the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the needs of care home residents. The job offers opportunities to work with fresh seasonal produce without the constraints of split shifts and long working weeks. You'll be expected to develop menus that meet hotel and restaurant standards and manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. Your role will also involve engaging with residents to discuss their dietary preferences, managing stock, and ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
