Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, and daily routines Providing emotional support and companionship Monitoring residents wellbeing and responding to any changes or concerns Leading and supporting day staff, including supervision and guidance Maintaining accurate records and ensuring clear handovers Contributing to and reviewing individual care plans to ensure they reflect residents changing needs Ensuring care delivery is in line with regulatory standards and best practice Assisting with staff appraisals, training, and liaising with healthcare professionals Promoting a calm, safe, and well-managed environment throughout the day

The Flexi Senior Care Practitioner plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across the home. Acting as a role model for colleagues, the postholder will help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and responsive support while promoting independence, dignity and choice.
This role combines hands-on care with leadership responsibilities, supporting the effective day-to-day running of the home and contributing to a positive experience for residents, families, visitors and colleagues.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting.
Desirable
Ability to remain calm and lead effectively under pressure Flexibility to work both dayandnight shifts, including weekends
