Working closely with residents, families and colleagues, you will help ensure activities are tailored to individual interests, abilities and preferences, making every day meaningful and enjoyable.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Part Time Activities Coordinator to join our team at St Helens Hall Care Home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of activities and wellbeing initiatives that enhance residents' quality of life. You will encourage participation, build positive relationships and support residents to remain active, engaged and connected within the home and wider community.
This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organised and passionate about improving the lives of older people through meaningful engagement and enrichment.

Main Duties of the JobPlan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities and wellbeing opportunities for residents.Develop meaningful one-to-one and group activities that reflect residents' interests, abilities and preferences.Promote social interaction, independence and inclusion throughout the home.Build positive relationships with residents and gain an understanding of their life histories, hobbies and personal interests.Encourage residents to participate in activities while respecting individual choices and preferences.Organise themed events, celebrations and seasonal activities throughout the year.Support residents to access community-based opportunities, outings and special events where appropriate.Develop positive relationships with relatives, volunteers and community groups to enhance the activities programme.Monitor participation and gather feedback to support continuous improvement.Maintain records of activities, resident engagement and outcomes in line with company procedures.Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant policies and risk assessments.Work collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to enhance residents' overall wellbeing and experience.Assist in creating a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment throughout the home.Uphold the values and standards of St Helens Hall Care Home and Sandstone Care Group at all times.Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the wellbeing of residents and the effective operation of the home.

What are we looking for? Applicants will be diligent, creative, organised and committed to enhancing the quality of life of residents by providing activities which will interest, inspire, motivate and support them in their daily lives. Compassion, patience and positivity are just some of the key values and personal qualities required for this post, whilst a flexible approach to work is essential. Experience of working with an elderly client group and/or working within a care home environment would also be highly advantageous, as would the ability to cover outings or special events outside of normal working hours as required.
