Working closely with residents, families and colleagues, you will create memorable experiences that support physical, emotional and social wellbeing, ensuring every day brings purpose, enjoyment and a sense of belonging.

As a key member of the team, you will help foster a warm, welcoming community where residents are encouraged to continue enjoying their interests, celebrating special moments and living life to the fullest.

Main duties of the job

As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents through engaging, person-centred activities. Youll design and deliver a varied programme that promotes physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Plan and lead a diverse range of activities including arts and crafts, music, games, gardening, exercise sessions, and themed events.Build strong relationships with residents to understand their interests, preferences, and abilities.Organise special events such as birthday celebrations, seasonal parties, and visits from entertainers.Support residents living with dementia through tailored sensory and cognitive activities.Coordinate outings and community engagement opportunities.Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continuously improve the activity programme.Work collaboratively with care staff and families to ensure activities are inclusive and meaningful.

The Senior Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing and delivering a high-quality programme of activities, events and engagement opportunities that enhance the quality of life for residents.

The postholder will work collaboratively with residents, families and colleagues to ensure activities are meaningful, inclusive and tailored to individual preferences, abilities and interests. The role requires creativity, organisation and a genuine passion for supporting older people to maintain active, fulfilling lifestyles within a luxury care environment.

The Senior Lifestyle Coordinator will act as an advocate for resident wellbeing, helping to create a culture where engagement, companionship and person-centred care are embedded within everyday life.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Previous experience in an activities or lifestyle role, ideally within a care home or healthcare setting.

Personal Essential

A warm, engaging personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and delivering varied activities. Understanding of the needs of older adults, including those living with dementia. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and occasional evenings for special events.
