It plays a pivotal role in enabling the safe and scalable adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the organization. The team develops and maintains AI risk frameworks, advises internal stakeholders, and ensures ING's AI strategy aligns with global standards and regulatory expectations. Through close collaboration with other 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) functions and external regulators, the team helps ING innovate responsibly while maintaining robust risk controls. Specific Function The team contributes to ING's global risk management by: - Leading the maintenance and expansion of the AI Risk Management framework, leveraging existing risk frameworks (Model Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Compliance). - Challenging and advising the 1st Line of Defense (1LoD) on AI strategy, control standards, and risk processes, including oversight of AI portfolios and initiatives. - Driving optimization of risk processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. - Acting as the central contact point for senior management on all aspects of AI risk, including regulatory interactions and external advocacy. - Defining the 2LoD AI Risk strategy and optimizing risk processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across entities and use cases.
