The BBL machining course at Brans Metaalbewerking combines learning and working. You will gain practical experience in our modern workshop and attend classes one day a week to learn the theory. This is how you will quickly grow into a skilled machinist. What is a BBL training program? BBL stands for Beroeps Begeleidende Leerweg. This is an apprenticeship in which you will: - Works four days a week at Brans Metalworking - Attends school one day a week - Receive a salary during your training You immediately apply the theory you learn at school in practice. As a result, you learn faster and understand the subject better. What does machining involve? Machining involves using tools contained in a (CNC) machine to remove material in a controlled manner until you have created a nice product that has the desired shape and size. The pieces of material removed are also called "chips" (shavings). Metalworking is a beautiful and interesting profession in which you are busy making a top product from a starting material for your customer. You start by making a drawing or a step file (3D model) using Cad/Cam software to program as many operations as possible (drilling, tapping, milling, deburring) in one go on your CNC machine.
