About this role
We are seeking to appoint a Research Nurse to join the NIHR funded Health Protection Research Unit in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections (HPRU EZI), contributing to the delivery of International Severe and Acute Respiratory Infection Comprehensive Clinical Characterisation Collaboration (ISARIC4C). You will support urgent public health and outbreak research focused on high-consequence and emerging infectious diseases. Working closely with NHS Trusts, UKHSA and academic partners, you will identify and recruit eligible participants, obtain informed consent, collect longitudinal clinical data, and obtain and process biological samples in accordance with biosafety and regulatory requirements. You will maintain accurate source documentation and complete electronic case report forms using secure data capture systems (e.g. REDCap), ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HRA/REC approvals and NHS R&D governance frameworks.
