Description of Post

The Lecturer will be part of an academic team within the Department of Building and Civil Engineering, ATU Galway. It is expected that the successful candidate will play an active role in the academic direction of programmes including teaching, research, academic assessment, and academic administration.

The primary focus of the department is undergraduate and postgraduate education of built environment professionals in architectural technology, civil engineering, construction management and quantity surveying. Research continues to grow in the department related to final year undergraduate dissertations, postgraduate research and individual research interest of staff.

Essential Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in a relevant Level 9 Programme in Built Environment [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)] or equivalent. Three years relevant post-qualification experience (Post Level 8 Qualification experience).
