Job summary The job of an Activities Assistant involves creating and leading engaging activities for the residents at Stowford House Care Home, a 53-bed residential, nursing, and dementia care facility rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and with a 9.6 rating on Carehome.co.uk. The role requires enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, and the ability to plan and deliver activities that enrich the daily lives of the residents.
Main duties of the job As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating a variety of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents. This may include organizing group activities, one-on-one sessions, outings, and events that promote physical, cognitive, and social well-being. You will work closely with the care team to ensure that each resident is given the opportunity to participate and thrive.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
No specific qualifications are required, but previous experience in a care or activities-related role would be beneficial. A passion for working with the elderly and a commitment to enriching their lives through engaging activities are essential.
