We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Assistant to support a U.S.-based ABA therapy company that is currently operating in two states and expanding.
This role will work closely with the Director of HR and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR functions. The position is suited to someone who is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes are still being built.
PLEASE NOTE:
Working Hours: Mon – Fri 09:00 am – 6:00 pm EST (15:00 pm - 00:00 am OR 16:00 pm - 01:00 am South African Time, depending on daylight savings in the USA) Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays. Compensation for South African public holidays will be provided in accordance with the BCEA. Internet Requirements: Fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download), and support for a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Candidates without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered. Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding or outages. Candidates without backup cannot be considered. Work Environment: Fully remote
Key Responsibilities:
Responding to HR-related emails and employee queries. Assisting with employee contracts and documentation. Conducting research on U.S. labor laws as the company expands into new states. Supporting general HR operations and processes. Assisting with ad hoc HR tasks and operational requirements. Engaging in voice interactions with employees when required.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.1–2 years’ experience in an HR, administrative, or recruitment support role.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Experience with U.S. HR processes or labor laws- Advantageous.Exposure to ABA or healthcare environments- Advantageous.Strong attention to detail.Highly organised with the ability to multitask. Proactive and able to think independently. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to take initiative and work “outside the box”.
