HR Advisor – South Africa (Kya Sands)
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a broad and hands-on role within an international organization? We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to support our employees and managers across the Africa region, with a primary focus on our Kya Sands facility in South Africa. As our HR Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support and ensuring an excellent employee experience. Working closely with employees, managers and external partners, you will contribute to both the operational and strategic aspects of Human Resources. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing a combination of remote and office-based work. At the same time, we recognise the importance of face-to-face interaction in building relationships, supporting employees and partnering effectively with the business. Therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to work from our Kya Sands office at least three days per week. Key Responsibilities
• Support payroll, benefits administration, leave management, compensation reviews, and reward programmes. • Manage HR administration, employee lifecycle activities, HR systems, and compliance processes. • Maintain accurate employee records and act as a key user for Workday. • Support recruitment activities, onboarding and offboarding, and talent pipeline development. • Support and coach operations managers in ER matters including but not limited to: absence management, conduct, grievances and performance improvement documentation. • Contribute to regional and global HR projects while driving continuous improvement and HR best practices.
What We're Looking For
• A relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a generalist or advisory role. • Strong experience with payroll administration and employee benefits. • Experience with B-BBEE requirements, labour relations, and CCMA processes is essential, including the ability to advise and support managers on employee relations matters and local labour legislation. • Experience working within an international environment is an advantage. • Knowledge of Workday is preferred. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset. • Fluency in written and spoken English.
