A Brief Overview The Finance Manager performs accounting and financial analysis for Financial Solutions transactions, supporting the preparation of management and financial reporting for business units. The role requires agility in navigating uncertainties, proactively investigating issues, and establish fit-for-purpose processes and clear documentation. This role does not have direct people management responsibilities.
What you will do
• Support & coordinate month-end close for regional financial solutions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Partner closely with administration, valuation teams, and business functions to validate data, align assumptions, and resolve issues, while driving strong controls and process efficiency. • Performs month-end financial reporting functions, which may include any or all of the following: preparation of general ledger uploads; reconciling various ledger accounts; updating, reconciling and recording financial results; analysis, compiling and reporting of data based on a US GAAP and Statutory basis; reconciliation of various accounts. • Support quarterly close by owning key deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting, and providing clear analysis to explain and justify variances between actual and expected financial results • Support the annual financial planning process by collaborating with regional stakeholders to consolidate financial inputs, validate underlying assumptions, and ensure alignment with business objectives and overall financial targets. • Support the APFS end-to-end automation programme by collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline finance processes, improve data flows, and reduce manual interventions. This includes documentation of the as-is process, design to-be process, and implementation of automated solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across APFS operations. • Lead or support ad-hoc finance-initiated or cross-functional projects requiring finance input, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contributing to effective decision-making and execution. This includes support on migration of processes from HQ to APAC regional office. • Support & coordinate month-end close for regional financial solutions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Partner closely with administration, valuation teams, and business functions to validate data, align assumptions, and resolve issues, while driving strong controls and process efficiency. • Serves as liaison to other business units, areas and functions as needed. • Maintains SOX documentation and provides as needed; may assist with year-end audit and other internal audits as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting, Finance or equivalent related work experience required. • 8+ years accounting, auditing, actuarial, or insurance administration experience with GAAP reporting and general ledger application experience. • PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience preferred. • Financial reporting experience preferred. • Advanced Proficiency required for Excel and PowerPoint skills. • Advanced investigative, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills • Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients and projects simultaneously. • Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. • Ability to translate business needs and problems into solutions. • Negotiating and persuasion skills. • General business knowledge. • Progress towards CPA preferred. #LI-KW1
