About this role
Company Description Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.
Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.
Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Enablement Lead to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (parental cover)!
Partnering closely with senior leadership and the Head of People Enablement to drive high-impact transformation, you will operate within a dynamic, flow-to-work Agile environment, where you will strategically design and deliver enterprise-wide leadership, talent, and capability programs. This is a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between business strategy and human potential, directly influencing the performance and growth of the country’s most trusted brands.
Day to day you will:
• Lead projects and sprints across the four core people enablement pillars - leadership, talent, capability and workforce planning - to address real-time business priorities.
• Partner with business units to map future skills like AI literacy, conduct data-driven capability audits, and establish standardised enterprise-wide capability frameworks.
• Drive the end-to-end strategic design, delivery, and change management of enterprise-wide enablement programs to ensure long-term adoption and operational integration within business units.
• Lead the end-to-end creation of modern, engaging digital learning assets—including e-learning modules, video scripts, microlearning content, and interactive job aids—using content authoring tools and multimedia platforms.
• Translate capability frameworks and business strategies into bite-sized, engaging, and highly visual learning campaigns that fit into the daily flow of work.
• Partner with the business to identify critical roles and define core capabilities, building robust talent pools and deploying targeted development initiatives.
• Manage external vendors and program budgets diligently to ensure maximum value, commercial alignment, and fiscal responsibility.
• Advise senior leaders on complex capability challenges, translating future-skills mapping into high-impact, continuous development strategies.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
• Deep specialist experience in the strategic design, full-cycle implementation, and measurement of enterprise-wide Talent, Leadership, or Organisational Capability initiatives.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and modern learning technologies.
• Hands-on experience with modern learning technologies and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360/Storyline/Rise, Sana or interactive video platforms).
• Proven capability to utilise data analytics to inform learning strategies, track KPIs, and demonstrate tangible business impact.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships across complex, large-scale environments.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate varying levels of leadership maturity, focusing on building capacity and fostering long-term growth.
• Passionate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, alongside strong, agile project management capabilities.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or Organisational Psychology (highly desirable).
