Job Title Customer Service Engineer - Refrigeration (m/w/d) Location(s) MSD (Switzerland) - Customer Site Job Description Will perform all maintenance and repair activities primarily on our Customers’ Controlled Temperature Units (CTU), intended as Freezers (down to -80°C,), Refrigerators (-5°C), Incubators, Climatic Chambers, .... (list non-exhaustive). All activities will be performed in GxP regulated environment and might require access to EHS regulated areas (e.g. ATEX, work at height, potent compound, …)
Activity types:
• temperature mapping and support to qualification, • maintenance and calibration, • diagnose, test, and repair, • cleaning and decontamination, • Customer’s material handling, • GxP record of performed activities in Customer’s CCMS/SMMS systems in line with ALCOA+ principles.
Responsibilities
• Provide timely, knowledgeable, and quality repairs of Customers’ appliances, • Maintain high-quality Customer service and care, • Look for ways to improve business performance and enhance the Customer experience, • Communicate benefits of the Value-Added Services Process to the Customer, • Author maintenance & calibration protocols in line with pertinent standards (ISO, USP, …), • In addition, will integrate and support the Customer Service Engineers (CSE) team on site, performing frontline assistance, maintenance and qualification of simple devices, such as: thermometers, heat blocks, analytical balances, refrigerated centrifuges, ... (list non-exhaustive).
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a Refrigeration/Cooling Appliances Repair Service Technician or similar role • Valid authorization to work with refrigerants in industrial applications (Swiss VFB-K Art. 1 Abs. 1 Bst. B or equivalent). • Swiss Federal Certificate of Capacity as an Installer-Electrician or Eligibility for or possession of specific limited installation licenses under Articles 13, 14, or 15 of the Low-Voltage Electrical Installations Ordinance (OIBT/NIV). • Previous experience in a GxP environment will be considered as preferential. • Business proficiency in English and German. Any other language would be appreciated. • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
