Flexible Working Options Hybrid Working Job Description Summary The Data Engineer will work alongside the Team Product Owner in a Feature Team managing delivery by leading others. They will operate as co-leader with the Team PO with involvement in decision making and planning of Product roadmap. • Takess responsibility for developing and delivering a key element of the organisation's data management system. • Provides input into the development of IT Security policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for area of responsibility within the organisation. • Analyses and evaluates the feasibility/relevance of proposals for complex products/services, then develops and amends as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues and/or supervises activities performed by a product development/specialist team. • Manages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues. • Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs. • Sets longer term objectives and takes responsibility for implementing and coordinating performance management systems for a substantial department within the organisation. • Manages output delivery for a substantial operational department by leading others. • Manages the development and/or operation of knowledge management system with guidance from senior colleagues. • Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business. • Takes responsibility for implementing formal development frameworks for a substantial department, while informally coaching and mentoring others throughout the organisation and investing in own personal development. • Initiates, formulates and implements new business practices for own discipline, while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organisation's change management programme. • Builds complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs. • Makes a significant improvement on short-term or long-term business performance by recommending authoritative technical and/or professional solutions.
