About this role
As Sales Director, the successful candidate will take on the following key responsibilities:
Develop and implement a unified commercial and sales strategy that drives market growth, customer acquisition, revenue expansion, targeting key accounts, high potential clients, and emerging business opportunities.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals; set performance goals, coach technical selling skills, and foster a high-performance culture.Define annual budget targets, forecast revenue, and ensure continuous achievement of sales goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, including major food manufacturers, feed producers, retailers, and distributors.Drive pricing strategy, margin optimization, and commercial policy governance in collaboration with operations and finance.Conduct senior level presentations, negotiate long term contracts, and provide tailored testing solutions aligned with client needs.Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to proactively adjust market and sales strategies.Identify emerging opportunities within Food & Feed, as well as adjacent markets.Represent Eurofins in industry events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen brand presence and thought leadership.Partner closely with laboratory operations, customer service, and technical teams to ensure service excellence and aligned commercial execution.Support Eurofins’ initiatives for quality, sustainability, and digital transformation (e.g., eLIMS adoption).Track KPIs using CRM tools; prepare commercial performance reports for senior leadership.Ensure compliance with Eurofins’ ethical standards, quality expectations, and industry regulations.Contribute to the development of national and regional key account programs within Eurofins. Bachelor’s degree required; Science-related field preferred. MBA is an advantage.Strong understanding of the Food & Feed sector; knowledge of other sectors is a plus.Minimum 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, ideally within laboratory testing services, Food & Feed industry, or related scientific/technical sectors.Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales teams (minimum 3 direct reports).Demonstrated ability to design and execute commercial strategies integrating sales, pricing, and marketing.Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of achieving revenue and margin targets.Expertise in key account management, strategic planning, and consultative selling.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Fluent in Greek and English.For application, kindly submit your CV in English.
