About this role
Transport Car?Fre Ltd. is looking for an experienced *Diesel Engine Rebuild Mechanic* to support our fleet maintenance team on a part?time basis. This role focuses on engine tear?downs, rebuilds, and component restoration for our heavy?duty trucks.
*Responsibilities*
* Rebuild and overhaul diesel engines and major components * Diagnose internal engine failures and recommend repair solutions * Perform tear?downs, cleaning, machining prep, and reassembly * Inspect and replace pistons, bearings, injectors, seals, gaskets, and related parts * Test rebuilt engines for performance and reliability * Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
*Requirements*
* 3+ years experience rebuilding diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, etc.) * Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Own basic tools; specialty tools provided * Journeyman or equivalent experience preferred
*Schedule & Compensation*
* Part?time hours (flexible scheduling available) * Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
