About this role
*Responsibilities:*
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical systems. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, single-line diagrams, and electrical drawings. * Install electrical equipment, conduit, cable tray, wiring, lighting, panels, controls, and other electrical components in accordance with applicable electrical codes and project specifications. * Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs efficiently while minimizing downtime. * Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. * Perform testing, commissioning, and verification of electrical installations. * Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice electricians as required. * Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, clients, and other trades to ensure successful project completion. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Complete required documentation, inspections, and daily reports as needed.
*Requirements:*
* Valid Journeyman Electrician Certificate (or Red Seal endorsement preferred). * Valid driver?s licence with reliable transportation. * Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and safe work practices. * Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial and industrial electrical systems. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings. * Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment, power tools, and hand tools. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. * Ability to work at heights, lift materials, and perform physically demanding work when required.
