The Role

We are recruiting to the role of Partnership Development Manager to join our expanding School of Life and Health Sciences Clinical Placement Team that supports placement of students studying our healthcare and science programmes. Placement provision is fundamental to our professional education; making this role pivotal to maintaining high standards, quality relationships with industry, and supporting our students in their career aspirations. The role will join a collaborative and passionate team of academics and support colleagues committed to delivering an excellent student and stakeholder experience that is future focussed, and aligned to the supporting the University to deliver its ambitious strategy over the next 5 years.

Key responsibilities will include

Plan, coordinate, support and organise the overall work of the placement team to ensure delivery of key objectives. Responsiblity for proactively driving increased placement provision across both healthcare and allied health Manage quality and professional regulatory requirements of the placement provision Proactively visit with partners when required to manage ongoing or developing relationships Liaise cross-institution to facilitate collaborative working with areas such as careers, placement unit, apprenticeships, and the business development team Work closely with colleagues take a lead in facilitating effective development of MI and reporting regarding the finance and budgets related to placement tariff management

The successful candidate will have skills and experience in

Practice learning and clinical placement provision within the health and social care sector Proven skills in relationship management and partner engagement Knowledge of allied health professions and their regulatory policies and practice, and familiarity with the Health Care Professions Council Influencing and negotiation skills to facilitate partnership development Excellent interpersonal skills commensurate with partnership development, managing complex relationships, and challenges as they arise with a solution focussed approach
