Overview
The CRICA programme is a pioneering four year doctoral training initiative funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Focal Award scheme. The University of Roehampton and LSE are collaborating alongside performing and participatory arts organisations to bring scholars and artists a unique opportunity to research the making of inclusive cultures, practices and spaces in the arts.
We invite applications from outstanding candidates with a research project idea specifically relating to the intersection of disability and the creative economy in the performing or participatory arts sectors. Students will receive a CRICA training programme, opportunity for embedded placements and be part of a community of artists and scholars across Roehampton and LSE.
Please note that we are only able to offer one overseas scholarship for this October entry.

Ensure your personal statement mentions explicitly that you are applying to CRICA. You must contact a potential supervisor at Roehampton and/or LSE to discuss your project idea before applying. Applications must be submitted by 03 December 2026.
